Right Way to Use Rotary Heat Transfer Machine

A heat press is a machine that is used to transfer designs onto everything from T-shirts to hats to plates. To bond a design to an item, the machine uses high heat and pressure. Typically, heat press machine have to be heated to a temperature of at least 375 degrees. Before you begin transferring a decal to an item, allow the heat press to warm to the appropriate temperature --- you should be able to find this temperature in the owner's manual that came with your heat press.

Instructions

1, Plug in your heat press, close the top of it, turn on the machine and set the temperature dial to the appropriate level. If you're not sure what the correct temperature is, consult your owner's manual. Allow the heat press to warm to the correct level before you use it.

2, Open the heat press and place your printable item face up on the flat surface of the machine. Place the decal in your desired position on the printable item. The decal should be face down on the printable item.



3, Close the heat press and fasten the lock to ensure the printable item doesn't move during the adhesion process. Adjust the pressure setting and set the timer. Refer to your owner's manual for the correct pressure and time settings.

4, Open the heat press when the timer goes off. Remove the printable item from the machine and carefully place it on a flat surface. Remove the decal paper from the printable item once it has cooled.

Dye Sublimation Paper Printing Refers to What's Kind Business?

1.Dye Sublimation refers to solid dye particles that are changed into gas using heat and pressure, which then bond with any polymers present and change back into a solid.

 

2.The Basic Dye Sublimation Process uses special heat sensitive dyes to print grahics and text onto special transfer  paper. The paper is then placed on a Blank Sublimation product and both are placed in aheat press.

3.When the heating cycle is complete, the image on the heat transfer paper has been transferred to the item and has actually reformed into or underneath the coated surface. Run your finger across the surface of a sublimated photo mug, plare or any coated product and you will feel nothing. It is as smooth as anything.

 

4.The reason for this is that sublimation is alsways done on polyester, polymer - coated items. At high temperatures, the solid dye converts into a gas without ever becoming a liquid. The same high temperature opens the pores of thepolymer and allows the gas to enter. When the temperature drops, the pores close and the gas reverts to a solid state. It has now become part of the polymer.

5.This is why Dye Sublimation can't be done on natural materials such as 100% cotton or natural fibres and non coated materials which have no " pores " to open. Unless a polymer coated paper is used.

Differences Between Sublimation Digital Printing & Offset Printing

Digital printing is best for on-demand printing, small quantities, short-run book printing and variable data printing.  Digital printing outputs each page with the ink or toner cured and ready for finishing.  Offset printing uses wet inks and the printed sheets typically have to dry for a certain time period or the ink will smudge or "offset" when cutting, folding, booklet making, etc.  So for you on demand printing needs of rush orders, the best choice would be to use a digital printing company.

Offset printing is used primarily for larger quantities on printing jobs with more of a flexible timeline. This is generally a less expensive printing option because the larger the quantity, the cheaper the price.  The majority of the cost involved with offset printing is the setup of the press.  Once the press is set, the job can print away at 10,000 to 30,000 pages per hour.

       Smaller quantities are best printed on a digital press because large printing orders typically cost less when printed offset with traditional lithographic printing equipment.  A digital printingcompany pays the press manufacturer per click, impression or per sheet for supplies and service regardless if the press is on a lease or paid in full.  So the cost for one sheet or a million is the same per piece. 

         But on an offset press, the majority of the cost is setup time and then paper cost.  Since offset printing is 5 to 10 times faster than digital printing, once the press is set for a particular job, the actual printing is completed quickly.  For example, a 100,000 quantity flyer order may take 1 hour on a printing press (setup and printing) that fits 16 pages on a single large press sheet.  On the other hand, it may take two days to complete such a large job on a digital press that only fits 2 pages on it's much smaller press sheet.  But for small orders, there is no paper waste for setup of digital printing equipment, and within seconds quality printed sheets are ready for finishing

MS-JP High Speed Printer for Sublimation Digital Textile

Dover's Printing & Identification (DPI) segment includes the labelling and marking businesses Markem-Imaje and Datamax O'Neil, but it had no pre-existing wide-format interests. Vice-president of investor relations Paul Goldberg said: "The acquisition broadens our served markets into the textile and speciality materials markets and also affords us the opportunity to leverage the exciting MS technology across the segment." Paolo Milini, now vice-president of MS, told Digital Textile printing the sale was the right decision in order to maintain levels of service after a period of extraordinary growth.

 

 The company needed access to Dover's established international infrastructure for technical support. MS sales grew by 80% from 2012-2013 and its projection for 2014 is that revenues will be around $70 million. The company, whose flagship product is the super-fast MS-LaRio, recently expanded its production site to a covered area of 6,000sqm and is bringing forward new entry-level plotter models, the MS-JP2 and MS-JP3. Its production is currently averaging 18 machines a month. Goldberg said: "MS can leverage Dover's existing infrastructure and strong balance sheet to accelerate growth and enhance profitability."

 Initially, there would be no changes to Dover's DPI segment but the company would examine ways to leverage MS's technology to the broader market, and also see how MS could best take advantage of the existing Dover infrastructure. Luigi Milini, father of Paolo, will remain with the company as president. Details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
